Pu Luong Nature Reserve offers opportunities for easy to moderate cycling and trekking, ranging from one to serveral days visits.

Pu Luong is a globally  important example of lowland limestone forest ecosystem and recognize as a global center for plan diversity. The forest support many unique species, including the  Dalacour’s langur, one of the  most threatened primate species in the world, found only in this area, Many other threatened species inhabit the forests including bear ( fresh claw mark can be seen on the trees), clouded Leopard, Owstons civet, Loris and many Orchid species.

Cycling is one of the most fascinating way to experience and explore this area

Day1: Hanoi – Mai Chau ( L,D)

Day 2:  Mai Chau – Sam khoe village – Hang Village ( B,L,D)

Day 3: Hang village to Nua villages ( B,L,D)

Day 4:  Nua Village to Canh Nang  – Mai Chau ( B,L.D)

Day 5: Mai Chau loop – Hanoi ( B,L)

Tour in details

Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau ( L,D)

Leave at 7h30. we drive southwest to Luong Son. The gateway to the outstsanding mountainous area of northern Vietnam, upon arrival Luong son, we start  riding through  on  undulating tarmac road with stunning  view of mountain, valleys, sugarcane farms and rice paddies. We would have a stop enroute for refresment, and lunch at local restaurant.

After lunch, we take short transfer to bottom of Thung Khe pass, restarting to ride 34 km  along the bank of Da River, you enjoy spectacular scenery dotted with Muong and Thai people villages under shaded trees, you are very impressive with  little school boys and girls or buffalor, cowboy say Hello with you on the way back to their home. We take shortbreak for Kodak momment or refreshment before descent to Mai Chau village

Arriving Mai Chau at late afternoon, we cycle to Lac village for Homestay tonight

Taking shower, having dinner with traditional Thai food and enjoy Thai dance music performance

Day 2: Mai Chau – Sam khoe village – Hang Village ( B,L,D)

The second day cycling trip offers for you the outstanding natural beauty of Mai Chau Valley  dotted with Thai and Muong  villages between rice terraces paddies

We start early to ride  from Homestay on the mix single track paths links one village to another, you may observe How peaceful villages are in the morning! And How they living here for hundred years?

You can find out your answer while we ride further in center of Villages, meet and talk with some local people on the way.

We have lunch enroute in Sam Khoe village  before riding back road  to Hang Village

Overnight at Thai Homestay

Cycle distance: 50km

Day 3: Hang village to Nua villages ( B,L,D)

Today is hard day with long climb on mix of dirt paths and  single track trail lead to the top in the morning, you will be rewarded by breaktaking limestone moutain view  and magnificient terraces rice paddies. We stop for refreshment on summit before descending to Pho Doan Market for lunch.

After lunch, we take easy ride on mix tarmac road, buffalo trails, undershade of bamboo forest led lo Nua village.

Upon arrival, we take shower and enjoying with cold beers and and soft drinks

Have dinner and sleep in Thai Hometay

Cycle distance: 70km

Day 4:  Nua Village to Canh Nang  – Mai Chau ( B,L.D)

After breakfast with the Host, Say good bye them, we start early  to ride back road  to Pho Doan

We ride roughly 93 km on undulating tarmac road  with some short escents, along riveside of Ma River back to Mai chau

Accommodation At Mai Chau

Cycle distance: 93km

Day 5: Mai Chau loop – Hanoi ( B,L)

We take easy day to cycle around Mai Chau Villages to visit Kindergarten, schools, local clinic or wander  around local market to buy some souvenir hand made textiles for yourself and your friends

Back to homestay on right time for traditional lunch with the Host

After luch meal, greet and fare well them, we embark on bike and drive three hours back to Hanoi
