Having hearty breakfast in hotel, the shuttle bus take us out of bustling city along Red river to Song Thao. on the way , you are rewarded by breathing scenery, delightful sightseeing. Upon arriving cycling point, we have lunch in local restaurant. Following lunch, we commence to ride along Red river bank to Yen Bai. We also enjoy leisurely space on gradual tarmac road, passing dozens of coin and rice paddy fields. Admire peaceful villages as we cycle through villages and villages. Arriving in Yen Bai city late afternoon. Do check in and have dinner in hotel.
We start cycling day from Hotel, passing bustling city to Bank of Red River, we ride on undulating road lead to Bao
Ha township. You rewarded by dreamlike scenery, peaceful hill tribe villages on hillsides, captivated by vast green tea farms and gum trees, cinnamon forest and palm gardens. Meeting with friendly people on their farm. Have lunch en route. After lunch, we continue to ride on single track and dirt road to Lao Cai,. We still keep riding along Red River until Bao Ha. Take transfer to Lao Cai city for stay over night
Have hearty breakfast in Hotel, we depart early to Muong Khuong Sunday Market. Muong khuong is frontier district of Lao Cai province, share border line with Yunnan province, is home of 14 different hill tribe peoples, of which Hmong is majority. Cycling and attending colorful Sunday Muong khuong market is unique and brilliant way to experience and explore the untouched regions, longstanding culture of Hmong people. Additionally, you have chance to capture fascinating landscapes and colorful people on the way to market. After visiting market, we kick off our pedal to villages, you can cycle leisurely around the villages talk with local people or show your picture for the kids. Come back to Guesthouse for dinner and stay overnight.
Start early in the morning to conquer a long climb a head. We ascend first 7 km to summit and then down hill to Chay river and then challenge 35 km climbing to summit. Today is hard and challenging day for all of us. We ride along frontier road between Vietnam and China lead to Bac ha town, on the way ,we enjoy breathtaking scenic beauty of Chay River and rice terraces on hill sides. Have lunch en route, after lunch meal. We continue to conquer the last pass before descending to Bac Ha Town.
After breakfast, we have early riding to Lung Phinh where we will then cycle off road on single track to Xin Man, stop for picnic lunch en route. After lunch, we ride downhill to Coc Pai Town, then conquer the “Heaven Gate Pass” prior to riding downhill in Hoang Su Phi Town enjoying the spectacular scenery dotted with Flower H’Mong, Tay,Nung, Dao Phu La..villages. Overnight in Hoang Su Phi. Cycle: Depending on total 85km, off road, dirt road and asphalt road .
Ha Giang is the capital of the province of the same name. It is back-dropped by limestone outcrops soaring skywards over the suburbs which hints at the amazing scenery. Ha Giang province shares 270km long border with Yunnan province of China and bounded by Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang and Cao Bang provinces. Today we take easy cycling on the road between Hoang Su Phi and Ha Giang. For travelers, it offers one of the most pristine beautiful limestone mountains and marvelous rice terrace scenery, which is listed as National Heritage of Northeast Vietnam. After taking short visit to tribal villages on side roads, we cycle down to Viet Quang then transfer to hotel in Ha Giang.
Setting off this morning we head out of town cycling for the first 25km on relatively flat road through the landscape of terraced rice paddy fields. Passing through minority villages we cycle the next 25km up winding roads into the vast limestone mountain range with its perpendicular walls of rock, climbing 800m towards the mountain road pass “Heaven gate 1”. As we pass through mountain villages sometimes covered by cloud, we will receive a friendly greeting from the local communities. From the pass we can look down at amazing views, including the famous vista of the Tam Son valley with the ‘Twin Hills and can spy Quan Ba town, Have lunch on summit and enjoy picturesque scenery. After lunch meal we set off our bike to descend to river and ride along to Gam river until we meet another pass again. We cycle uphill for the first few km before a descent of around 10km and then relatively flat terrain for the next 10km. It’s a challenging up and down terrain to an altitude of 1.025m before we make a final descent for the last 15km into Yenh Minh. We will have the chance to see the traditional homes of the local hill tribes. The communities in this area are Chinese.
Today is great and incredible day with us whilst cycling in the heart of world listed Dong Van Karst Plateau Geo park
Have hearty breakfast in hotel and take a quick visit colorful hill tribe market nearby hotel and then commence cycling on the way of Happiness road to Dong Van. You are rewarded by pristine nature and magnificent karsk Plateau scenery while cycling ascending to summit. Stop to visit and explore Hmong King Palace ( Vuong Chi Sinh Palace) and then we continue cycling to Lung Co Pole Flag Tower. Have lunch en route. After lunch we keep riding on back road to Dong Van Town. Upon arriving, do check in and have relax by your own.
There is a market daily in the town center of Meo Vac used mainly by the White Hmong, Tay and Lo Lo hill tribes. Women dressed in their brightly colored traditional clothing walk into the town carrying their bamboo woven baskets laden with corn and vegetables. Today we follow a remote mountain road to Bac Me on descending road, along the Gam river. After a 5km uphill cycle we make a 30km descent the follow a fairly flat road for the next 10km. The surrounding landscape with predominantly limestone formations is a surreal vista of peaks, troughs, towers and caves. The crops and dwellings seem to perch precariously on the hillsides. There’s a relatively gentle uphill climb of before we descend for the final 30km along flat terrain. We will pass people from the local minority communities along the way dressed in their vibrant tribal costumes. Stop on side road to visit local market or exploring daily life of hill tribal people. Have lunch en route. Following lunch we continue to ride along the bank of Gam river, conquer on relatively tough pass before descending to Bac Me town
Today is challenging and adventurous day for riders,we will arrange bag for water and snack in the morning,( the van can not support us to today due to the off road conditions). We meet our van in Babe late afternoon, we cycle on single track and off road through Na Hang National park, take boat trip to explore Ba Be Lake. Ba Be is one of biggest fresh water lake in Viet Nam and listed one of the 28th Biggest Fresh Water Lake on a slope of limestone Mountain of the World, UNESCO listed Ba Be Lake as World fresh water Reserve, cruising Ba Be is impressive experience in our trip.
Our cycling day depart from hotel, ride along the Gam river,then cross the bridge turn off to single track path to Yen Hoa, we cycle through many tribal villages, spectacular natural scenery, arrive in Da Vi village, stop for lunch. After luch time, take boat trip to Dau Dang water fall, load up our bike continue to ride on off road to Be Be Lake, take the second boat trip, exploring beautiful sightseeing, limestone mountain in lake, then cycle through National park to hotel.Dinner and stay in Ba Be Guest house.
Get up early in the morning to enjoy pristine nature of Ba Be National Park and sounding from birds and monkeys inside the jungle. Have breakfast in hotel. We commence cycling from Hotel, passing the National park to Boat wharf and spending over one hour to discovery picturesque scenery of Ba Be Lake. It is blessed with breathtaking scenic beauty, lush jungle and stunning limestone panoramas. Cycling on the single dirt track to Dau Dang Water Fall and take another Boat trip to Da vi and Na Hang water reservoir. Cycling on tarmac road with some hills and passes on the way to Vinh Loc. Arriving in Vinh Loc do check in and have dinner in local hotel.
Starting riding from Hotel on tarmac road lead to Tuyen Quang and Thac Ba Water Reservoir. On the way you are fascinated by lush scenery and hill tribe villages. meeting with school kid on the way to school or back school with bid sound “hello” you. We ride from village to another one to learn their daily life of ethnic minorities people. Arriving in Thac Ba Reservoir Lake late afternoon. Take bamboo raft to Lavie resort. To day is last day in our cycling trip in the north Vietnam with full of highlight and cultural values, experiences in local costumes and practice of different hill tribe people, enjoy incredible landscape and scenic beauty of Vietnam. We spend the last day to explore and exprience breathtaking scenery and challenging your ability. Start riding from Resort, crossing again bamboo raft to village road, following single track and village road to Yen binh, My Bang and Hung Quan, Doi Can commune , crossing the An Hoa bridge turn right to Son Duong on tarmac road. Have lunch en route or in local restaurant in Son Duong Town. After lunch we descending to Dao Tru. The rest distance is transfer by Bus to Hanoi. Arriving in Hanoi. Do check in and relax until meeting time for dinning

Bikes: we use the new 4300/4500 trek mountain bikes for all most cycling trip with different size from 13.5 – 23.5 We generally use 2012 /2013 models of TREK montain in bikes because they are high quality, durable pieces of equipment. Besides,
We like the versatility and durability of the mountain bike as it has been designed to cope with different types of terrain and riding. Our trips can be on asphalt and can often be broken or potholed, and there are usually unsurfaced sections included, so mountain bikes are the most suitable. They also have the range of gears to cope with the hills.
Each bike comes with a single water bottle cage, if you prefer more you are welcome to bring your own. Bikes also have gel seat cover slips if you prefer a softer ride. If you have your own saddle that you are comfortable with seat, you are welcome to bring it and we’ll fit it. On long tours women specific seats are recommended and we have some available, but we cannot guarantee we will available for every tour.These bikes also are available for rent in case you want to go it alone or just need a bike for a day.

Safety: wearing a helmet is compulsory on all our biking adventures. Your tour guide are trained in first aid
and emergency rescue, tour guide often carry first aid box with their bikes while riding we often used mini bus and bus with air condition for transfer and back up as itineraries

Accommodation: When cycling we stay in friendly hotel, guesthouse or homestays. Some are more basic than
others! Bear in mind that some of the places we overnight in are not on the standard tourist trail.In larger cities and towns, our hotels are generally more western style and are three or four hotels or resort. Please do not expect the same standard as you would your home.
Our Guides: the tour will be led by one of English – speaking guides. All our guides have great knowledge of
history, local culture, and religions of the area where you are cycling and introduce that experiences for you . our guides have been trained in this field and is fully licensed in tour guiding by Vietnam National Tourism. Our guides are also medically skilled in first Aid by SOS and they know how to deal with hard situations.\
Grading definition : To assist you visualize how our trip is difficult, we have graded our adventure tours into
three categories, easy, moderate, and challenging, we group many factors into consideration into this grading, including distant covered, terrain, altitude, weather conditions and vehicle support
Easy: suitable for most people in good health. These trips generally include short days, on good paths and at low attitudes
Moderate: A reasonable level of fitness is required, as these trips can require sustained endurance levels, hill
longer days and altitude.All of our moderate trips have a support vehicle following closely, weary travellers can hitch a ride and take a rest for a while.
Challenging: these trips are physically demanding and best suite for fit people with high endurance level. Day can be longer, often at altitude, in emoted regions and sometimes without supports vehicle nearby.. travellers may be required to carry a backpacks
Terrain: Distances on full cycling days average around 50 – 80km. Our route is mainly on tarmac roads of varying quality with are some more like hard – packed dirt, Terrain is generally flat or undulating with a few notable climbs. Distance for second days and half of third day is around 60- 80 km. Our routes are mainly on single track, dirt road and trail , we cycle around villages and villages, through rice paddy terraces.
Food: All the meals which, are mentioned in itinerary, are included in the price of this tour. Most of meals are Vietnamese local food in Homestays . while in towns, we will enjoy Vietnamese cuisine in delicious restaurants Meals consist of a variety of balanced dishes and aim for universal appeal, we avoid highly spiced foods. Vegetarians are certainly welcome and are always accommodated, please let us know of any dietary concerns at time of booking. Beverage and alcoholic drink are not included at mealtime or in restaurants
Snack & Water: when we transfer, ride by minibus ( no cycling day), our bottled waters are always available for you ( two little for one day for person with wet tissue) When we have cycling days, we will offer cold water and wet tissue in box plus fresh tropical fruides, soft – drink, energy – drinking, ( five little water for cycling day/ person Beer is freely available everywhere in Vietnam, but not include in our trip.
The Home stays: Homestay in the villages is simple interm of bedding condition and enticements. We will sleep on beds or floor with mattress, clean sheet, pillow and mosquito nets. Toilet is usually western style.
Weather: Vietnam has a tropical monsoon climate. Broadly speaking, the weather in Vietnam is dictated by two seasons – the southwest monsoon from April to September and the Northeast monsoon from October to late march or early April. Due to regional climate differences, there are no right or wrong seasons to visit Vietnam.the north Vietnam is cool, damp in winters between November and December and February with temperature in Hanoi falling to around 15oC. The summer months from April to October are hot and dry.the best time visit Vietnam is spring ( February – April) or Autumn( late September – December) when it is not so humid. The weather turns quite cold and wet in January and this continues to march. The humidity can prove oppressive from May to the early September.
Money: the official national currency is the Vietnamese Dong ( VND), but the US dollar is widely accepted in allmost tourist centers. However, small towns and the villages the VND is preferred, ATM are available in all major cities and towns, tourist destinations, Vietcombank, Agriculture banks are the best networks with a limit a single withdraw limit of 2000,000 d ( 95 USD). Most major currencies can be exchanged in leading in Vietnam, but th USD is preferred away from the tourist centers. Changing 100 USD wil make you to be a millionaire. You can not legally take the dong out of Vietnam but you can reconvert reasonable amounts of it into USD on departure
Clothing: comfortable lightweight clothing in natural fabrics such as cotton is most suitable for traveling in Vietnam. The dress code is fairly casual as it is in most parts of the tropics but it is advisable to cover arms and legs in the evening against biting insects. A light weight raincoat or rain cape is a good ideal in the raining season. For on the bike you will need to bring a couple of pairs of cycling shorts and short leave jerseys, a pairs of cycling glove and if you use them, your clip in cycling shoes/ sandals.. when travel in the North Vietnam during winter months ( late November – March) warm clothe is needed.Visitors to Buddhist countries should not to wear shorts, short skirts or other skimpy clothing when visiting religious centers and shoes should be removed before entering private homes
Passport & Visa: All visitors are required to have a valid visa to enter Vietnam. A one month tourist visa is usually sufficient for most visitors, though it is possible to arrange three months or six month – multiple entry visa for regular visitors. The Snail Adventure Tours company is authorized to issue visa on arrival at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, Danang International Airport in Danang, and Tan San Nhat in Ho chi Minh city.The same authorisation procedure and a minimum mof 5 days working notice is required. In emergency case they can arrange a visa o arrival if notice of 2 working days is given
Tipping: Tipping for good services is always appreciated in these developing countries. It is customary, though not compulsory, to tip tour guides and drivers at the end of the tour. Hotels and station porters should also be tipped a small amount for . We recommend 5 US Dollar / person/per day for cycling tour guides .. 2 USD/ person/ day for driver and 1 USD/ person/ day for door bell when checking in and out
