Established in 1962, Cuc phuong is the oldest National park in Vietnam. Located only 120km southwest of Hanoi and nestled between the provinces of Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa, Cuc Phuong boasts an engaging cultural and wildlife heritage and enchanting scenery. Magnificent limestone mountains rise up majestically from the lush green rice terraces and traditional stilt house of Muong tribe. Coverd in a dense forest, this landscape forms the habitat for some of Asian’s rarest animal and plant species. The ancient forest is home over 2000 species of trees, 110 species of reptiles and amphibians, and 125 mammals.300 species of birds, 36 reptilian species, , 11 species of fishes and thousands of species of insects. A numbers of species in the park are listed in Vietnam Red Book of endangered species.
Primates in the Park include macaques, gibbon, Francois’ leaf monkey and slow loris. Other mammals including bats,porcupines, flying squirrel, small tripped, belly banded squirrel and the rare black giant squirrel. In the past the Park was the home to Asiatic Black Bears, Wild Dogs, tigers but over hunting and lack of prey have most led to the loss these species, Leopard, clouded Leopard and jungle cats may still be present in the Park.
Bird species include Bar – backed Partridge, scaly – breasted Partridge, Silver pheasant, Red jungle fowls, grey peacock pheasant, Laughing – Thrushes, Red vented Barber, Green eared- Barber, Scimitar – billed Babblers, Brown Hawk Owl, Scarlet mini vet, Racket – tailed Drongo, Racket – tailed tree-pie,While – Winged blue Magpie.Migrant species include thrushes, flycatcher, tits, finches, pipits among st others. Horn bills can be spotted in the park. An endemic sub species of sub Terrance cave fish also located in the park.
Flora in the Park includes multi layered canopy, tree up to 70 m in height; flowers, including orchids, ferns with amazingly tall leaves; and abundance of liane and cauliflower,. The park also contains plants used for such practicalities as spices and medicines as well as edible fruits and nuts.
Gray – Shacked – Langur at Cuc phuong primate Rehabilitation Center also located in the park are the Cuc Phuong Endangered Primate Rescuer Center and Cuc Phuong Turtle Conservation Center. These facilities are vital research centers for breeding and rehabilitation of animals rescued from the illegal wildlife trade. The primate center houses specimens of Languors, loris, gibbons species, include the critically endangered Delacour’s Langur, Goldern – headed Langur, Tonkin – snub nosed Langur and Black Crested Gibbons. The primate center was established in 1993 with the help of Frankfurt Zoological Society and was grown to 100 animals in 30 cages, 4 houses, two – semi – wild enclosures,The Turtle Conservation Center was found in 1998 and is the home to some of the most endangered turtle in Vietnam., including the Vietnamese pond Turtles which is nearby extinct in the wild

Transfer three hours back to Hanoi in the afternoon
Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau ( L,D)
Leave at 7h30. we drive Southwest to Luong Son. The gateway to the outstsanding mountainous area of northern Vietnam, upon arrival Luong son, we start riding through on undulating tarmac road with stunning view of mountain, valleys, sugarcane farms and rice paddies. We would have a stop enroute for refresment, and lunch at local restaurant.
After lunch, we take short transfer to bottom of Thung Khe pass, restarting to ride 34 km along the bank of Da River, you enjoy spectacular scenery dotted with Muong and Thai people villages under shaded trees, you are very impressive with little school boys and girls or buffalor, cowboy say “Hello” with you on the way back to their home. We take shortbread for Kodak moment or refreshment before descent to Mai Chau village
Arriving Mai Chau at late afternoon, we cycle to Lac village for Homestay tonight
Taking shower, having dinner with traditional Thai food and enjoy Thai dance music performance

Day 2: Mai Chau – Sam khoe village – Hang Village ( B,L,D)
The second day cycling trip offers for you the outstanding natural beauty of Mai Chau Valley dotted with Thai and Muong villages between rice terraces paddies
We start early to ride from Homestay on the mix single track paths links one village to another, you may observe How peaceful villages are in the morning! And How they living here for hundred years?
You can find out your answer while we ride further in center of Villages, meet and talk with some local people on the way.
We have lunch en route in Sam Khoe village before riding back road to Hang Village
Overnight at Thai Homestay
Day 3: Hang village to Nua villages ( B,L,D)
Today is hard day with long climb on mix of dirt paths and single track trail lead to the top in the morning, you will be rewarded by break taking limestone mountain view and magnificent terraces rice paddies. We stop for refreshment on summit before descending to Pho Doan Market for lunch.
After lunch, we take easy ride on mix tarmac road, buffalo trails, under shade of bamboo forest led lo Nua village.
Upon arrival, we take shower and enjoying with cold beers and and soft drinks
Have dinner and sleep in Thai Hometay
Day 4: Nua Village – Pho Doan – Cam Luong – Cuc Phuong ( B,L.D)
After breakfast with the Host, Say good bye them, we start early to ride back road to Pho Doan, the township of Phu Luong Narture Reserver, if lucky, we can visit and take photo at colorful tribal market before crossing the bridge , we ride on corridor path of Nature Reserve , through sugarcane fields, corn farm dotted with Thai and Muong Tribes villages led to Cam Luong, we are rewarded by spectacular scenery, meeting friendly local villagers. We reach to Ho Chi Minh Trail at noon
Lunch meal at local restaurant in Kim Tan town, After lunch, we continue to ride 45 km more on a mix of good single track and undulating paths . The view are stunning as the rider passes through villages and across rice paddies, sugarcane and cassava farms
Arriving in Cuc Phuong National Park at late afternoon, check in and take a rest until dinner times

Day 5: Cuc Phuong National Park – Thung Nham – Tram Chim ( B,L,D)
After breakfast, our minibus take us into the depth of forest. From the center of the Park, we will cycle along canopied forest trails and through primitive jungle – an exclusive, tourist – free route, all the way to the gate of National park. Stop for refreshment, then we visit the Endangered primate Rescure Center. The day’s cycling continues onto Dong Giao – pineapple plantation where you can enjoy fresh pineapple from local farmers selling on sideroad. We ride out of plantation to Tam Diep Township, transfer to Tam Coc for Lunch. After lunch, we ride through magnificent limestone mountains rise up majestically from the green rice paddies, streams to Tram Chim Nature Reserve
Upon arrival, we take relax or wander around to encounter different birds in here.
Dinner and stay overnight in Resort
Day 6: Tram chim – Tam Coc – Thai Vi – Trang An – Hoa lu – Bai Dinh Pagoda – Kenh Ga ( B,L,D)
Breakfast in Resort, we start riding back road to Tam Coc from where we take two hours boat trip for exploring three grotto the first, the second and the third grotto links together with breaktaking scenery in open air
Then we ride through break taking natural beauty of Trang AN, Bai Dinh Temple, Kenh Ga Floating Villages.
Having lunch in Kenh Ga before the van transfers three hours back to Hanoi
Upon arrival in Hanoi, Say good bye. End of our trips
